Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 September 2026
Agreement Overview
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") set out the agreement between WasteRound Ltd ("WasteRound", "we", "us", "our") and any person or business booking our waste collection and removal services (the "Customer", "you"). They apply to every booking made through our website, by phone, or in person. By placing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which form a legally binding contract between us.
We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing a revised version on our website. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
About WasteRound
WasteRound Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17425036). We are registered with the Environment Agency as an upper tier waste carrier, broker and dealer (registration number CBDU658406). WasteRound is registered for VAT in the United Kingdom with effect from 17 September 2026. Our VAT registration number is [VAT REGISTRATION NUMBER TO BE ADDED] and will be shown here and on every invoice once HMRC has issued it.

Who These Terms Apply To
• Consumer — an individual making a booking for their own personal use, or on behalf of another private individual, and not in the course of a business.
• Business — anyone booking in a commercial context, including sole traders, companies, or anyone booking on behalf of a client or customer.
You will only be treated as a Consumer if you identify yourself as such when booking. Consumers also benefit from the statutory 14-day cancellation right set out in clause 4.1 below.
1. Service Provision
1.1 Inspection and Quotation
Our prices and quotes are based on the information you give us when you make a booking, including the volume and type of waste, its location, and access to the collection site. Where the waste on the day differs materially from what was described, or any information you gave us turns out to be inaccurate or incomplete, we may adjust the price or decline the collection before it begins.
1.2 Item Dismantling
If an item needs to be taken apart to get it out of the property, book it with the "Inside — needs dismantling" option and our team will dismantle it for the fee shown when you book. Items booked without that option must be able to pass through the doorways of the collection address as they are. If, after dismantling, an item still cannot be moved through the access point, WasteRound is not responsible for its removal or for any damage caused attempting to remove it.
1.3 Timing and Delays
We will try to carry out your collection on the date and within the time window given at booking. These are estimates only and are not a guarantee — actual timing depends on factors such as traffic, access, and the availability of our crew and vehicles. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, though we will use reasonable efforts to keep you informed and to resolve the issue promptly.
1.4 Customer Presence and Access
You must be present, or have arranged suitable access, at the time of collection. If we cannot gain access and no prior arrangement has been made, we may leave the site, and the booking will be treated as a late cancellation (see clause 4.1).
1.5 Our Right to Work Safely
Our team has the right to work free from harassment, abuse, or threats. We may stop or refuse to continue a job if our staff are not treated with reasonable respect, or if we consider any condition on site unsafe for our team, the public, or you.
1.6 Restricted Items and Hazardous Materials
Unless we agree otherwise in writing in advance, or you have booked the item as a listed item on our website (such as a car battery or tins of paint), you must not include any "Restricted Items" in the waste for collection. Restricted Items include (but are not limited to): asbestos, clinical or medical waste, solvents, liquids, oil, hazardous or toxic materials, and gas cylinders.
If we find Restricted Items on site that were not disclosed in advance, we may leave without completing the collection, and the booking will be treated as a late cancellation (see clause 4.1). Where we agree in advance to collect a hazardous item, an additional charge will apply to cover specialist handling.
1.7 Waste Transfer Documentation
Where required by law, you will be asked to sign a Waste Transfer Note confirming the collection. Please keep this for at least two years. An administration fee may apply for a duplicate copy requested later.
1.8 Upholstered Seating and Persistent Organic Pollutants
Sofas, sofa beds, futons, armchairs, fabric dining and office chairs, bar stools, footstools, bean bags and seat cushions are classed as waste upholstered domestic seating. By law this waste cannot be sent to landfill and cannot be mixed with other waste in our vehicle. We keep it separate from the rest of the load and send it for incineration at a permitted facility, and the cost of doing so is included in the price shown for those items. That is why a sofa costs more to collect than a wardrobe of a similar size. Please tell us when you book if your collection includes upholstered seating that is not listed on your order, because it changes how the vehicle has to be loaded.
1.9 Service Area
We currently collect from addresses inside the M25 only. If your collection address falls outside that area we will tell you before your booking is confirmed and you will not be charged. Several outer London postcode districts straddle the motorway; where that is the case we will confirm whether we can reach you before accepting the booking.
2. Health and Safety
2.1 Customer Responsibilities
You must provide safe, clear, well-lit access to your premises and tell us in advance about any hazards, including working at height, restricted access, slippery surfaces, or anything else that could affect the safety of the collection. If you don't, we may decline or stop the collection and still charge for the visit.
2.2 Hazardous Substances Found On Site
If our team discovers hazardous substances, syringes, or other dangerous materials that were not disclosed in advance, we will stop work immediately. You remain responsible for paying for the visit and any waste already collected.
2.3 Sharp Objects
Sharp or dangerous objects (knives, blades, broken glass, and similar) must be safely contained in a separate, clearly marked container before collection — never placed loose in general waste bags.
3. Price and Payment
3.1 Weight and Volume Allowances
If your waste exceeds the weight or volume allowance booked, additional charges will apply. Full pricing details are available on our website.
3.2 VAT
All prices shown on our website exclude VAT. VAT at the standard rate of 20% is added at checkout and shown as a separate line on your basket, your order confirmation and your invoice. WasteRound is registered for VAT with effect from 17 September 2026. Until HMRC issues our VAT registration number, your confirmation will show the full amount you paid and a VAT invoice will be issued to you once that number is available. Business customers who are themselves VAT registered can normally recover this VAT, so please keep your invoice.
3.3 Payment Terms
The full price of your booking, including VAT, is paid online at checkout when you book, before your collection takes place, unless you hold a WasteRound account with agreed credit terms. There is no deposit and nothing further to pay on the day. You can pay online by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or by phone by card, payment link or bank transfer. Our crew does not take payment on the day, except that cash is accepted for extra items added to a booking that has already been paid for. If payment is not made, we may decline to carry out or complete the collection.
3.4 Partial Payments
Partial payments made toward a booking are non-refundable once the collection has commenced or been completed.
3.8 Minimum Collection Charge
Our minimum charge for any collection is £37.50 + VAT (£45.00). Where the items you select come to less than that, the difference is added to your basket as a minimum collection charge before you pay. We will not turn a small job away because of it.
3.5 Late Payment
An administration fee of £37.50 + VAT (£45.00) applies where payment is not made on the day of collection, or by the invoice due date for account holders. We also reserve the right to charge interest on any overdue balance at 2% per month above the Bank of England base rate.
3.6 Account Holder Credit Terms
We may periodically review the credit terms of account holders. Credit may be reduced or suspended, or an account closed, if agreed payment terms are not met.
3.7 Account Closure
We may close an account and require immediate payment of all outstanding invoices if we suspect bribery, corruption, or other illegal practices connected with the account.
4. Cancellation and Postponement
4.1 Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your booking, please let us know in writing by emailing enquiries@wasteround.co.uk.
If you are booking as a Consumer (not on behalf of a business), the law gives you the right to cancel free of charge at any time up to 14 days after you made your booking, as long as the collection has not already taken place and is not due to take place before those 14 days end. If you ask us to carry out the collection sooner than that, this right ends once the collection is complete, and cancelling part-way through may still mean paying for the work already done.
Outside of that right, what happens depends on how much notice you give before your collection slot:
• 48 hours' notice or more — we refund everything you have paid, with no fee.
• Less than 48 hours' notice — we keep £45.00 (£37.50 + VAT), as this is a reserved collection slot, and refund the rest of what you paid. There is no other cancellation fee.
Once a collection has begun, it can no longer be cancelled, and any money already paid will not be refunded.
4.2 Order Amendments
If you would like to add or remove items from your booking, please contact us with as much notice as possible. There is no fee to amend a booking; if the change alters the price, we will charge or refund the difference.
4.3 Postponement Policy
You can move your collection to a new date free of charge if you give us at least 48 hours' notice before your booked slot, and your payment carries over to the new date. A change of date with less than 48 hours' notice is treated as a late cancellation under clause 4.1.
4.4 Additional Time Charges
We allocate time for each job based on the size of the load and the vehicle booked. If a collection runs over the allocated time for reasons within your control, we will charge for the extra time at £1.00 + VAT per minute, billed by the minute rather than in blocks.
4.5 Parking Charges
It's your responsibility to arrange suitable, legal parking for our vehicle near the collection address. We're not liable for any parking charges or fines, and any incurred as a result of inadequate parking arrangements will be passed on to you.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 Excluded Losses
We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from a booking or these Terms.
5.2 Liability Cap
Other than as set out above, our total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise — will not exceed the fees you paid us for the relevant booking.
5.3 Statutory Exclusions
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other loss that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Your statutory rights as a Consumer are not affected by these Terms.
5.4 Property Damage
Accidental damage may occasionally occur during waste removal. Please:
• Point out any damage to our team before they leave your property, wherever possible
• Where damage is not immediately visible, notify us within 24 hours of collection by emailing enquiries@wasteround.co.uk with photos and a description
We are unable to accept claims reported more than 24 hours after collection, as it becomes difficult to verify they relate to our visit.
6. Events Outside Our Control
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control ("Force Majeure Event"), including strikes, civil unrest, fire, flood, extreme weather, epidemic or pandemic, government restriction, or failure of public transport, utilities, or telecommunications networks. Our obligations are suspended for as long as the Force Majeure Event continues; if it continues for an extended period, either party may cancel the affected booking without liability.
7. Termination
We may terminate our arrangement with you at any time, without affecting either party's accrued rights or obligations up to that point.
8. Assignment
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms at any time; this will not affect your rights or our obligations to you.
9. Notices
Notices should be sent to WasteRound Ltd at Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU or enquiries@wasteround.co.uk. We will contact you using the email or postal address you provided when booking. Letters are treated as received 3 business days after posting, and emails 2 business days after sending.
10. Data Protection
We will only use your personal information to provide our services and, unless you tell us not to, to let you know about other services we offer. We may share your details with credit reference agencies (for account holders) and other third parties where reasonably necessary to verify your identity or deliver our services. We handle personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
11. General
11.1 Third Party Rights
The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 does not apply to these Terms. No person other than you and WasteRound has any rights under them.
11.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining Terms will continue in full effect.
11.3 Waiver
If we do not enforce any right or remedy available to us under these Terms, this does not waive that right or remedy, and does not relieve you of your obligations.
11.4 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by English law, and both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
